Mary, Mary quite Contrary...how does your Garden grow?

It is growing very fine! Tonight for dinner we will have our first salad from our little hill of Lettuce. It is in the 80's today, we are really enjoying it. Tomorrow we will go to my daughter Jenny's for Fathers Day. Bar-B-Que time! Have a fun weekend, Mary

For Julie!

You were on my mind this morning so I thought it would be fun to share this little thought in a picture!

Quilt for Baby Mia....my Great-niece

Mia hasn't been born yet, she will be in her Mother's (Dee) arms very soon. Now I am ready to do another one, they are kind of habbit forming. This is called Crazy Daisy...fun!

Pot of Bean's

I can't remember the last time I cooked a big pot of Pinto Bean's. I went to the market yesterday and bought a bag of beans. For some reason it sounded really good. When I was a little girl growing up this was a staple in our house. And for most people we knew. Our families came to California from Oklahoma, Kentucky, West Virgina. You could visit any part of the family and it would be beef stews and Pots of Bean's.
Tonight's menu will be very traditional.
Pinto Beans hot and creamy
fried potato's
cornbread
green onion/ sliced tomato's

I can smell them cooking...yummmy!

In my backyard

The start of my Lavender...
Sage, I love this at the holidays.
Rosemary on most anything potato or chicken...yummm!
More Lavender....soon it will all bloom.

A little trip to my garden

Around the inside of the fence is green beans and peas. Lettus, green onions, carrots, beets. I went out this evening and took these pictures. Tomorrow everything will be a little bigger. I can't remember what is in front...but it will be good!

On this side of the garden is tomato's, peppers,
and along the fence is sunflower and melons.
Lemon cucumbers my favorite.
I will be de-weeding tomorrow, it is going to be a little warmer. I can hardly wait to eat real tomato's.
