Kayla & Jenny.....

This was at Kayla's Graduation with her Aunt Jenny. Jenny Loves Kayla so much. Kayla is turning 18 the 14th, I hope to have pictures to share after our day together, but for now here she is on a very special night for us all. Love, Grandma

Today is my Birthday

Now that we live in Idaho, we are far from the California coast.....so today we are having a Bar-B-Que at the Lake. Kayla (my Granddaughter ) and I share our Birthday. It's hard to believe we were ever this young....with that said, I am living my life with a smile in my heart. Good days and some not so good it is a Journey I am happy to be taking....I Love and I am loved and that is the reason to be....My Birthday wish is to find a new adventure everyday and to remember the gift is the day. Gaytha dug the hole and Arney put me in it, they were having just to much fun....with 4 new sisters, you had to have a since of humor.

Gail's art challenge...Mind Wideopen

The box is made from a stationary cardboard box. I removed the outside embellishments and added the old writing. Then I took the picture I call Sara and placed her in the center. Then I placed napkin on the box and the words and used glue to adher them. The flower I placed on the top is from my Lavender garden. The ring at the bottom is from my Great-Aunt Addy. I have opened the box so that you can see at the top framed by tiny buttons a baby picture of Sara. And her Sisters are to the left. In the box is a picture of her Grandmother, letters and her first ABC book as she was learning her alphabet. Lavender from my garden. A locket with her Mother and father, she lost the chain. A river rock she found down on the Snake River. Keys to the doors in her Grandmothers house. Her buttons from favorite dresses. The yellow Marble she won from her cousin Carolyn in the picture down front. These are Sara's treasures.
This is my first time to join in on a contest....the picture of the girl in the oval is what we had to work with, and the word was "Remembrance" So I made a box for keepsakes. It was really fun. What do you think, do I have a chance? So that you see all the entrees when completed, go to my friends list. You will find Gail-Mind Wide Open. I think that you can vote tomorrow...this is all very new to me, I am not sure how this all works. Thanks again for coming by.

Don't do this!

A little peek into my world.....
I was changing the color of my blog page, having a hard time deciding what to choose...and in a moment of madness, I deleted my friends list. Now you know the truth, I am a total wreck when it comes to my blogging habits....I just can't seem to hang on to anything....but come tomorrow morning, I will have you all back...I hope!

ATC

This was something I was trying for fun...it is a ATC with doors that open. It looks better in person but I thought you would find it different.
The inside is the size of a ATC, so it is very small.
The double door shuts....I made many mistakes, but it will be better next time.
Goodnight, it was over a 100 here today, but I managed to get a few things done.

Mary Loves Arney

I have been going through old pictures, trying to decide what should go in a album. This was our first beach day of 1964. And our first full summer as Mr. & Mrs. On this hot summer day we played in the ocean and enjoyed being young and in love. The man in the background is our Brother-in-law Bill. We were beach kids. This part of the Pacific Coast is Sunset Beach...we were only 18 and 19 years old, and happy to have found each other. Blue Ocean, sand and sun...Mary Loves Arney.

Summertime

After a long winter in Idaho and a really cold spring, the sun is shinning, the air conditioner is blowing and the garden is growing. Don't you just love summer nights, we love to sit out and watch the sun go down. We have beautiful sunsets here in big sky country. Bar-B-Q's with all the Lemonade you can drink. Have a wonderful summer! Mary

Fathers Day 2008

I was so busy having a good time, I didn't take a picture of Arney. He has his back to us in this picture. This is the baby of our family Avery. Everything tasted so good, I ate too much. We had a really beautiful day for a get together. Doug, Jenny and Summit hosted the party.
In this picture....Summit and CJ talking, at the table is Treyton, Cory my son and Avery.
Avery showing her stuff....and Alexis getting ready to join her. It was a very special day, to bad I didn't get more pictures.

Mary, Mary quite Contrary...how does your Garden grow?

It is growing very fine! Tonight for dinner we will have our first salad from our little hill of Lettuce. It is in the 80's today, we are really enjoying it. Tomorrow we will go to my daughter Jenny's for Fathers Day. Bar-B-Que time! Have a fun weekend, Mary

For Julie!

You were on my mind this morning so I thought it would be fun to share this little thought in a picture!
