Julie found this wonderful painting called "Fire Fancies" by Arthur Hacker" What is going on in this young lady's mind as she looks into the fire?

With fall in the air and leafs turning golden with red, yellow, and Seana. We are asking that you take this image and the prompt "Fire Fancies." Look into her face , look into the world as she peers into the fire?

Create your own work of art. Your key is your own imagination. There are no rules about the medium you choose.

Charming

I hope you are all having a great week, it is cooler today and raining some. It was in the 90's yesterday and today we will be lucky if it gets to the 70's. It's Fall! Click on the pictures, then you can see them much better.

Charming Continued

This is what I have been doing ....Allot! These are for the Bazaar at my church. It has been time consuming and fun...but my hands are tired from all the bead and wire, not counting the other things that came from starting with cutting the glass on up. My hope is that it makes good money for the projects that are so important to the heart of our church family. My poor house is falling apart, so I need to concentrate on that now. Autumn Mist

As our tree's become bare, and the nights are cold there becomes a icy mist that covers every last leaf and wraps itself around all the branches. It becomes very still and seems to close us in like a scary tale from a book. You find yourself unable to take your eyes off the wonder of it. It is a showing of things to come when all will be white with snow. Fall is beautiful here in Idaho. It has magic in every season, Now everyone is harvesting in the fields, Arney will go out to find a farmer, glean a field with onions, or potato's. The gleaning is what was left by the big machines. Potato's, big bakers, onions as big as grapefruits. The ground will be cool and your hands get muddy, but it is the best food. Since it is free, we always get enough for family, friends. I am already making soups and chili. We are still getting peppers and tomato's from the garden and Summit our Grandson will be over to get his very own Pumpkins and cut down the Sunflowers for the Birds. This is when I love to read, or stitch a quilt, but for now I am busy making crafts....but I am almost done....Happy Fall, it is a time of remembering and gleaning.

Here is my new addition, of course it is very old, but that is what makes it special. I learned to type on one not unlike this. You forget how hard that you have to hit the key. Or the sound
it makes. It needs to be fine tuned...Arney will take the little bugs out of it. Typewriter, who knew I would want this old thing. It has great old letters. I am not sure what part it will take in my crafting. Maybe just for fun. It works really good, I will have to get a new tape for it, that should be hard to find...yikes. Just a little trip down memory lane.
Happy Fall, the air smells so fresh and good. But my feet are already starting to get cold....Oh My!

Vintage tags

Every year I make tags for our church Bazaar. This is for funding kids camps and other activities that will help others in our town. I am a little ahead of the game for making of tags...we have the Bazaar at the end of October. Almost all of our ladies do something for this event. Some bake, others craft...it depends on what their talents are. I will share some of the things I am busy making when they are finished. I took old paper and found a vintage picture of the ladies in hats. Then made the ladies transparent and painted a little color on the them. Added the font and then glued little flowers where I would use a hole punch in the middle of each flower and then add ribbon for tying. Bazaar time finds us all knee deep in getting ready, craft nights and noddle making for the traditional chicken soup. Busy, Busy! So I am the tag maker and craft er. I stay away from the cooking....these ladies know what to do through passing down of generations.

I am knee deep in tomato!

I have tomato's roasting in the oven .....this is the start of Tomato Basil soup. I am also making spaghetti sauce, so my kitchen is dressed in red. We have Brandy wine, Roma, early girls, and Beef steak....I may not want to look at a tomato until January. No, I love them....but I can't eat the seeds. It will be 77 today and in the 80's this weekend....sending love and a little cool weather to Janet. Hugs, Mary

Baxter

Baxter sat just looking at Arney for the longest time. I had to take this picture and worse yet, I had to share it. This was about five in the morning. Do you ever wonder what your pet is really thinking?
Today Arney went in to see his Doctor to get the results of the tumor. Everything is healthy and he can go back to work on the 8th of this month. He continues to be sore, but he is doing great. He took me to lunch at the Le Mone Market, it was really nice. Our way of celebrating. Yesterday My oldest son turned 40 years old...time is flying. We spent the afternoon with him. He loves the Olive Garden so we gave him a gift card for a nice dinner there. I am knee deep in tomato's.... Big hugs to you all, Mary

Fall is in the air...it was cool this morning...tomatoes for the pot!

LB decided it was cold this morning and crawled under the sofa throws. Arney went tomato picking this morning and came up with the Motherload. We have been giving everyone tomatoes. I am making Bazil tomato soup this evening or tomorrow. It weighs over a pound.

Arney thought this was funny....so we are having a good day.
