New pocket Camera:)

Arney bought me this sweet little camera a couple of days ago. I am still learning how to use it, it is really fun. It is only 31/2 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Perfect to have in my purse. I have a larger camera and I hate to stuff it into my bag. I will take more pictures, at least I plan too. It is a new toy.... I just had to share this with you since we all take pictures, we will see how it does.
10 days and 8 pounds lost....I am happy with that:)

The Road Not Taken

I am working on a couple of things that I want to share...but it is slow going. In the moving from a craft room to storage has left me a little frustrated. I can't find anything!!! It is very pretty here today, the sky is so blue. It is cold! Arney is taking Trevor (son) in for his ankle to be checked this morning. this is his first check up since his surgery. I can tell he is very nerves. He is trying so hard to stay positive through this time. As I was searching for things I need for a project, I came across this poem by Robert Frost. It seemed right for the beginning of the New Year. So I thought it would be nice to share it with you. I am sure most of you have read it before, but I felt good about posting it today. Also I wanted to share that the background is the tree's and two roads, I put the lady taking one of them into this graphic. The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Knowing not what is at the end of this road....I found myself asking this question...which one would I have taken. We make decisions everyday that seek a good ending but how do we choose? With our head or our heart?

This is Treyton's cake....Kristie just sent me the picture. This is amazing!!!! Treyton got the cake he asked for. He is a skier...I love this.. Happy Birthday Treyton!

Kristie did it again...another really sweet cake, so cute. I did not have any (I was a good girl) We had a really good time. Cory and Kristie made dinner for us all.

Doctor's Order!

Where to start.....6 months ago our family doctor gave me the news that my Cholesterol was a little high. So my plan was to get it down on my own. I went in to get my check up just before Christmas and my test came back that it was still to high and that my Glucose Level was high. So I am taking sugar out of my life, keeping only the natural sugar that comes in fruit. Arney bought me a beautiful juicer, so I am doing some juicing to get me started. The goal is to get well which means low fat diet, weight loss and exercise...with medication to help me get the numbers down on the Cholesterol. It is all a little overwhelming, but I know that this is going to be good. Arney is helping me. He likes the juicer a lot...likes to play with it.
A little history....I was always too thin, most of my life I was under a hundred pounds. Like a lot of people, I gained weight in my late 30's and did not find out till my late 40's that my thyroid had stopped doing it's job. Because of my sinus problems my ear, noes and throat doctor gave me one shot a year to shrink the polyps in my sinus...this was a steroid. I let it all get out of hand after I stopped working. I do not eat a lot of food, but I eat the wrong food. I am not one to set down and eat a box of cookies or a bag of chips...but I do hunt for food, something to put in my mouth...just the wrong food. Late night is hard too. So I have some really bad habits to let go of.
I am fat...that is the truth of it, and I let it happen. So I am getting busy getting thin and healthy. I will share my journey now and then to let you know some of my milestones. I think it will help if I can put a few words on my blog, because it will be a daily challenge to get this done.
