Monday

Not much to share today,but with that said, I wanted to say thank you. I have not been a devoted blogger this year so far. Sometimes there are not enough hours in a day. I used to do my blogging and research late at night, but I am trying to brake that habit. It is not good to look at the clock and find it is 3:00 in the morning and you have not closed your eyes. I won't bore you with details, just please know that I am here. The next couple of weeks will find us enjoying Arney's vacation. I will be looking in on you, but may not have much to share, we will see. Take care all, love Mary

Still sewing…..

Bella goes shopping….Very Cool………         Bella goes Camping….Hurry up Daddy!!!                                                            A Dress for Bella and headbands. This is my version of the “Pillow Case Dress.”It goes in the box today to be shipped to Washington State. I can hardly wait to see her in it.

I hope everyone is having a good summer. Our new fence is going in. It should be done Monday or Tuesday.

Before and After

A few years ago

these two chairs were bought for 35.00 at a yard sale. I had thought of redoing them myself, but was not sure that I could really do them. Then I thought of slipcovers and could not fined a fit because these chairs are very old.

Arney and I decided this would be our Anniversary present to each other.So we had them done and I love em. Here is the before and after.

Our 50th anniversary is the 15th….yes, we got married just after we were born:)

Headbands for Halle

Here are the headbands I made to match the sundresses.

I will be making these for Bazaar this year. I knitted the band, used fabric that I made the dresses out of and made the flowers. A small flower in the middle.

Birthday Dresses for my Granddaughter Halle…age 3

The pictures could be better. I have made headbands too, I will share them later. I hope everyone is doing okay, I have been busy with the day to day things that find there way into our life. It has been very hot and that is hard on the desire to do anything. Making these little sun dresses was fun, still have a little left to do. I hope she likes the pockets!!!

I have been MIA when it comes to comments, I will catch up when done with this project. Hugs:) 

 

Sunday…

It had been a busy, but really nice day. I had cleaned radishes from the garden. Did some house cleaning.Planned what dinner would be…etc.

7:00 found us having dinner. LB and Finley were taking their after dinner nap. It was starting to cool down from another hot summer day.

I heard a sound,the dogs heard it too. We went to the back door to see a white suv in the back yard going through our fence.

Before I show the pictures, I want to share that the young man that was driving was caught just blocks from here.Beer cans were found that they had thrown from the suv. He had already been in a wreck by Lake Lowell which is about a mile from us. Damaged a trailer,etc and kept on going to our house.We saw his passenger jumped our fences and we do not know if he was caught. He and friend had stolen the suv.I am happy to say no one was hurt.

Those that have seen our backyard will probably understand these pictures easier.

This is our back yard gate.This is where we saw the suv leaving our back yard.

This is where the suv came through our fence interring the back yard, behind that tree is a ditch that he had to be air born to have gotten over, it is wide and deep. You also see the dog run smashed into the ground.

Our Bar-B- que was about 25 feet from where it was. And the little bench that has sat in that little cove is now a pile of wood.

The greater part of our fence will have to be replaced, about 100 feet.

The lawn will grow back from his spinning wheels.

A Romper for Bella

it has been awhile since i made a toddler outfit. it was so much fun on my new sewing machine. I thought it would be nice to share what I made for my Great Granddaughter……Annabelle is just 2 years old last month. Don’t ya just love the pony!!!!

Just after these pictures were taken today it opened up and rained. The veggies will love this.

We also planted Lettuce for salads. I can hardly wait for a real tomato. how does my garden grow? Very well! Thank you Arney!!!!

Since I can’t seem to stop knitting:)

I have been caught by the knitting bug, I may not get well!!!

So thought I would share that I am making scarf's for all my granddaughters. These are soft and cuddly.

Here is Finley helping me with a project, some sewing to be done. I will share when finished. I am making a few headbands to see if I like doing them.
