New Year Thoughts

Baxter spent allot of time on the library table today watching me take down some of our decorations. I don't know if he was glad that everything had been taken of the table or sad. All I know is he was staying in that spot....so I had to stop and take a picture of our little friend. I noticed that my walls look pink....they are really baby almost white peach...so important to share that...OMG! I have seen a few blogs where the idea is to pick a word for what you might apply for the new year....Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ....change....I know President O has already used this word, but it is very easy to get stuck in the same old things day after day. It is comfortable, even predictable, and I need to think out of the box...this will be hard. I will make a list of things I need to change...I will share the list.
I want to take this time to thank you all for taking time out of your busy life to spend time with me. I am blessed to have found such a wonderful place to share some of my craft and so many things that come into our life. It has been a interesting year....with elections, I thought would never end! Watching the people we trusted take so much from us, gas prices, food prices, and jobs going away. In one way or another we are all affected....but we are going to come out of this, I believe we have learned and will continue to learn more about ourselves and each other. The human spirit is well! I think that blogging is a gift, that we share so many things and understand that we are all creative, loving people that have come together to give and receive support in away that nothing else can do. With a click we open windows to things we would never have seen. Know people we would never have known. I can sit here in my PJ's or dressed up for whatever the day brings, and it doesn't matter. I can have bed head or just finished grooming, it doesn't matter....you come! Sometimes I have glitter all over me, glue on my figures, paint, glass, beads....and wonderful paper, it's all good. You are there. With all this said, I call you friend and if you let me, I will continue to come into your life, I love your stories, your art, and your cute little click!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve Party was so much fun. Doug, Jenny and Summit found the treasure box filled with more chocolate than Heaven would allow. We were a party of 21 wonderful souls that love each other. It was cold and windy and snow falling as the house was bright with Laughter, too much food, children ready for all the games, presents, and lots of love. It is wonderful when we are all together, so different are we all, but when together it is like a patch work quilt, somehow it all comes together and is just Beautiful. Merry Christmas!
More pictures to come....

catching up

The back and front of the charm I made for my sister Sharon. She loves Butterflies and she is a Virgo. E-mail was a gift from her along time ago. She introduced it to me with my first computer, she brought it to me. Click on picture to see them better. This is the back and front of my friend Brenda's charm. She had me make it for her little Great Niece that is fighting Leukemia. Brooklyn is not 3 yet. We have hope that she will be well.

I'm good to go!

Thank Goodness you can craft sitting down, so I got a lot done while healing. I cleaned some yesterday...it was good. The doctor said I had sprained my foot, but nothing broken. Thank you for your notes, I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. Wrapped it up like a mummy. Why did I fall in the first place. Just not paying attention, and a 4 inch step. Now the battle of the itchie scab. It's big! It is going to start snowing tomorrow night. Looks like a big storm coming down from Alaska....Too Cold. Is it me? Or did Christmas come fast this year. So much to do, so little time.
I hope your all having a wonderful Holiday season. It was so good to find you all on my blog...what would I do without your support? Stay safe and watch your step!!!!! Hugs, Mary

Big Girls Don't Cry!

It was a beautiful day.....a soft breeze with the blue sky. I am very busy gathering Christmas gifts. The bead store is in down town Nampa, little cute shops. I looked at every little bead looking for the perfect pink for my Granddaughters charm....said my good-bye to the little shop owner...and hurried out the old glass door. The next thing I knew everything was heading for the ground....down like a rock on the cement was this person, MEEEEEE! All I could think of was.....Did anyone see me! I couldn't see anyone, they could have been hiding behind tree's...Yikes. Getting up was even worse....but I managed to do it knowing I must have looked like a Beetle on it's back!!!! Did I break anything? Nothing but my pride....in my car I tried to figure out how hurt I was...as I drove home the pain started. But I could move, so I will be fine.
As I began to get out of my car, it was clear that I had made a mess of me. I hobbled on one foot up the path to my back door, and realized my knee was bleeding.....I hurt all over. After a pain pill and some TLC from Arney, I thanked God and any support group that would help me, that I would walk again....all is well, but sore as H***! Hobbler!

Busy with HO! HO! HO!

A little note to say I am knee deep in crafting for Christmas....so much to do, so little time.
I hope you are all enjoying the season...I will share what I am doing when I get more time.
Hugs, Mary

Tents for Darfur

Shabby in the City expressed a interest in knowing about this event. I went to see Brenda Monday and she was so proud. Click on this page, our Paster Steve was on the team that went to Washington.

The lady in the blue t-shirt is Brenda my friend of 25 years. She is holding with her Grandson Lias the banner of our church. You will need to click on the photo page to see the tents in the lower right. Thank you Shabby, it is a good thing to share.

Photo Box

This is the model I worked from.....I thought it would be better for you to see these pictures. This was what I used. The box is 12x12x12 inches. I am still excited over having this. You can use different colors also which sounds like fun to me. This is probably old stuff to most of you, and you may have a better way. Carri j wanted to see what I had done. You are right, really easy.

Having to much fun Friday

I took this in my new photo Box.....I love this.... The charm is made for my friend Brenda. I am giving it to her in a couple of days. She doesn't know about it.....shssssssss! She won't be on my blog, she is in Washington DC with a team from our church. We sent this delegation with a brand new tent for Darfur (I hope that I spell this right). Gathered were hundreds of churches doing the same thing. This is Brenda and her Granddaughter Trinity....I think she will like it. On the back it says LOVE!

Photo Box

I have been taking my pictures and wondering what I was doing wrong. So I went searching for some answers and came up with a homemade photo box. It didn't cost me anything to make, I already had what I needed. Also I had been holding my digital camera and sometimes I would move and the picture would blur. So I got the tripod out and used it. I am still learning how to use it, any advice would be so welcome. I was really unhappy with the charm pictures and knew there had to be a better way. This is my first picture.....I think this is going to make life a little brighter......
