This is the water from the ditch going under our half circle driveway. In the winter when the water is gone, the local cats love to hide in these under ground paths. Something for everyone here on the little farm.
The grass is still cool under my feet, everything is green and fresh. I thought you might like to see a few pictures of our small farm. This is our lovely Maple tree. In the winter it has moss on the trunk. The water you see coming down our ditch is irrigation. We no longer use it because we had public irrigation put in a few years ago. Our Grandkids love to put their feet in it. The water is very cold. We have a well, our water is really good and cold coming from deep into the ground. Welcome to Apple Blossom Cottage.

This is my little Raspberry patch in the front yard next to the ditch. As you can see there are very few left. Arney has been eating them. The gate was a gift from a friend that lives up north.

Your yard and surroundings look great... it's hard to believe how hot it has been!
To tell the truth, it is wonderful here in the DRY heat... after reaching 106 in Portland on my trip... I felt I needed 5 showers a day!
Thanks for the glimpse around your little piece of paradise! I'm sorry it is so hot for you. It is cool again here today. It is supposed to warm up by the weekend. It better hurry - we only have one day left 'til the weekend.
I went for a walk yesterday - only the second one since I hurt my knee in Feb. Boy am I hurting today. I know I am pampering my knee and am getting out of shape.
Oh I love your Raspberry patch!! And I tell you, the Squirrels here are so pesky! We have a good 10-12 that take over our yard every single day in the Summer ~ gathering all the food they can for the upcoming Winter I guess. We throw Corn cobs and other things and they scamper about to see who can get to them first!! So funny. We have a Well too, the BEST water and the coldest!
