Don't you just love Valentines...you walk in the store and everything is red....Love is in the air! No candy for me this year. I have had a few hard moments and I have cheated a couple of times, but I think it is apart of the journey. I need to feel this in a personal way, I can pick myself up and dust off the sugar and start over again. I got out the sewing machine and did some of my stash of paper and made the striped background in reds. It is so true, you want to do more and more of them. Click to enlarge:) I want to thank everyone who commented on page 2 and 3...it means so much to me. Everyone has a story, it was healing to share this, to write the words even though it was painful. I almost didn't send it. Trust! I am working on that....
Arney bought me this a few days ago on line. I got it yesterday. It is a DVD of the coast of California. I can put it on the TV and spin away on my bike. I really didn't like the background music, so I will play something else while I am spinning down the Virtual Reality Road..

Oh Mary,
I knew it was probably hard for you to publish that previous post. I'm so glad you did, and never hesitate to "let loose" in the future. It is very cathartic, and not lost on your readers. I love this journal page, especially when you refer to your family members as flowers. So true. Cute images, and the paper doily was a great added touch. Have a great week.

I like your pages because they're so YOU. Just as always you put everything into what you do and it shows. I share your same problems with food....I love my yummies as I call them.
And I really like that virtual bike tour idea. I might have to get me one of those DVDs for when I'm on the treadmill.
I love this page, Mary, especially the vintage Valentine children. I think that doing this journal will be a great reinforcement for your journey to losing weight.
I praise your endeavors here Mary.
I know you are making life saving changes that will bode you well forever more. It is a time for patience with yourself as you learn these new habits...and yes slipping back is normal...as long as we continue on the path we succeed. Wishing you an easy time of it.
Fun for me to think you are enjoying sights of California as you do your exercising!!! See me waving hi from the ocean and the redwoods and Golden Gate Bridge!
You are doing a great job with this journal. Some day when you look back on this time you will be glad you kept a record of "the journey". Praying for your success
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.
