It rained here for the first time in months. The quail were all over the field waiting for the warms to come up. We could smell the rain before it got here and celebrated the first drops on the patio. We have had so much smoke from the fires up the hill. And earlier in the evening we could see blue sky…that was really nice. Here at my computer I can hear the cars on the wet pavement, it sounds good to me. It wasn’t cold, so we had the back door open all day. My only regret is the flies came in.
I want to thank you! Your comments mint so much to me. Words can hurt you sometimes, but they can also heal. Thank you for the healing words, Mary

Mary, Sounds like you needed the rains there. I pray for our country...we are suffering from the draughts, forrest fires, the list goes on and on.
I read your post yesterday...it made me sad. Sticks and stones can break our bones but words can hurt our hearts. xo, Susie
We need the rain too but at least a wind storm blew the smoke from the rocky mountains. They had been shrouded from fires from Idaho, Utah and California and just hung there like a veil. I am so used to seeing the beautiful mountains but that smoke was awful.
We are supposed to have rain too and it is very much needed.
I'm glad you got some rain. We could use some here, too but it probably won't happen any time soon. Everything always smells so fresh and clean after a rain.
