This market was in Delano, California. I spent a lot of time in the Valley of California.
I remember the smell of the old markets, and the price of food would sure be nice right now.
I am enjoying a little cooler weather. In the morning you can tell that fall is coming without a date.
It has been a busy summer, so much to do, so little time. Arney and I made salsa this weekend from the things we grew in the garden.
I have been making headbands for Bazaar all summer. These look so cute on babies and toddlers. I have made all colors and style... I am naming each color for fun.
Have a great day!!!

Old time prices would be a welcome relief in today's market. My daughter and I were just talking about the price of food and how it keeps going up and up. Love that old photo!
It's still summer here but I'm looking forward to fall.
Shopgirl, I just saw poor Arney in the previous post, bless his heart. I love the headbands you are making. I like those big fluffy flowers on hats also. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
I remember those old stores, too. Remember the coolers that were full of ice cold water and you reached down into it to get your cold soda pop? lol LOVE the headbands, too- xo Diana
Things were certainly different back then.
Love the old market photo. Your garden salsa must be delicous and the baby head bands adorable. Nice to see the both of you so busy being creative!!!
