Loud and Clear!
I just want to think you for reading my post. I am very proud of "We the People"
Today came with a deep breath, it seems I was holding my breath and didn't really know it. "Nerves Energy" took care of my day by cleaning everything and anything. Today I am just plain exhausted. I am old enough to have been apart of a few elections, I have often cried because the choice seemed wrong to me. But last night I cried out of joy, and rejoiced in a moment I will forever remember. I pray that this is the right man at the right time, and that we really do find the changes we need in this our home.....God Bless America.

America the Beautiful
I was raised in a house divided....Mama was a Democrat and Dad was a Republican. I was in the 9th Grade when it all became very clear. The dinner table seemed to be the battle grounds for my parents, and I was just a listener. At school we were holding elections with buttons and signs, and it was all about the big school voting day. Nickson or Kennedy. I watched the debates with my parents and listened to what they had to say about who did the best job in front of the camera's. It seemed to me that it was more about how they looked in black and white, than what they said with my parents. But at school we had to write a statement about the debate, what you thought about their answers and did you believe in what they said. I will always be grateful for that time in my life, it made me pay attention to what each man had to say. Not what others were saying around them.
Which brings me to now. And now I find that we are a family divided. And once again I am listening to what these two men have to say and trying to figure out who I believe. filtering out the news media, the spin, the lies and trying to make the right choice. Not how he looks or where he comes from, or his religion, but the man. Is he talking to me or is he just another man that wants to live in the white house that doesn't care about me or you. Many things have been said about these two men, but my heart goes to what they say to me. Not the junk on the news or the words spread all over the net. So with that said, vote! and vote with real knowledge, not with the spin. Our country in in real trouble, some will not feeling the pain of it, but most will.
It is time to remember who we all are, I am not blue or red, I am Mary Evans American.

Twiggy
With the elections came many memories of the 60's. And depending on how old you were then, there are things that stand out. I loved the clothes. the short skirts, and the makeup was fab! The Beatles sang and we fallowed the beat...the fashion, the Polyester...no more ironing. In all the makeup and style was the War, the endless body counts. Bobby Kennedy was our hope for a better future....the endless unrest within the Black communities. In all this was Twiggy, and I was skinnier than her....the good times! I was a little housewife in Southern California, living in a really pretty Apt with a pool & seeing my husband off to work each day and trying to have babies. It was a perfect storm and at the center was war and fear....some things never seem to change, the people change, and we watch with hope for a better future.

Charming
Charming Continued
This is what I have been doing ....Allot! These are for the Bazaar at my church. It has been time consuming and fun...but my hands are tired from all the bead and wire, not counting the other things that came from starting with cutting the glass on up. My hope is that it makes good money for the projects that are so important to the heart of our church family. My poor house is falling apart, so I need to concentrate on that now. Click on picture so you can see them better.

Autumn Mist
As our tree's become bare, and the nights are cold there becomes a icy mist that covers every last leaf and wraps itself around all the branches. It becomes very still and seems to close us in like a scary tale from a book. You find yourself unable to take your eyes off the wonder of it. It is a showing of things to come when all will be white with snow. Fall is beautiful here in Idaho. It has magic in every season, Now everyone is harvesting in the fields, Arney will go out to find a farmer, glean a field with onions, or potato's. The gleaning is what was left by the big machines. Potato's, big bakers, onions as big as grapefruits. The ground will be cool and your hands get muddy, but it is the best food. Since it is free, we always get enough for family, friends. I am already making soups and chili. We are still getting peppers and tomato's from the garden and Summit our Grandson will be over to get his very own Pumpkins and cut down the Sunflowers for the Birds. This is when I love to read, or stitch a quilt, but for now I am busy making crafts....but I am almost done....Happy Fall, it is a time of remembering and gleaning.

Remember this?
Here is my new addition, of course it is very old, but that is what makes it special. I learned to type on one not unlike this. You forget how hard that you have to hit the key. Or the sound
it makes. It needs to be fine tuned...Arney will take the little bugs out of it. Typewriter, who knew I would want this old thing. It has great old letters. I am not sure what part it will take in my crafting. Maybe just for fun. It works really good, I will have to get a new tape for it, that should be hard to find...yikes. Just a little trip down memory lane.
Happy Fall, the air smells so fresh and good. But my feet are already starting to get cold....Oh My!
