Cold Winter Day

I have had this old mirror forever. Back when I was a seller and collector of collectables. I painted it green when everything I did was green. On this winter day I looked at it and thought that it needed to be hung again with a new color.

I thought about painting flowers on it, what do you think?DSCN1046

Old mirrors have such character and I love round mirrors. I say go for it! If you paint flowers and you don't like them just paint over them and you're back to where you started.

I would probably just distress it if it were for myself but if the flowers marry in your style that would be lovely also... Thanks for always stopping by and leaving kind words.. I went for groceries today as we are suppose to have some snow the next couple days but not as bad as expected on the coast...

Hi Mary,
I like your mirror, nice new color. I say do whatever you love!
As Janet said you could always change it again...fun to redo stuff.
Love your handwriting...it looks like mine. I've always had that up and down style..:)

Hi Mary,
I love mirrors, used to collect vintage ones, even the small ones on little stands...
I think flowers, or a very bright colour depending on your decor of course!!!...

MY JOURNEY TO A HAPPY HEALTHIER ME.... said...

I remember when everything was a variation of Forest Green and Peach...I so love and cherish my quilt from that 'era' I do have to say that the burgundy/wine color that you have used is beautiful against your walls. I know that what ever you chose, it will be perfect!
Kind of along the same lines as this ...I am reminded of a little excursion out to look for white paint and poor Derek had had it and brought you a piece of paper and something else proclaiming that they were white- pick a dang paint color all ready :)
Miss you- hope all is going well with Kayla. Hugs all around <3

Do you know I used to be in the collectable sellers world too. We've led parallel lives in many ways.
