When you least expect it, you open your mailbox and find a wonderful thoughtful gift from a couple of Dear Friends. My cup runnith over.....I am Blessed to have the opertunity to do the things I love.

When a Beagle is un happy ain't nobody happy!

This started out as a normal peaceful morning....LB had no idea that Mattie was going to get her nails done. Lb never wants to be separated from Mattie. So for the 35 minutes or so that she was gone with Arney....LB howled the whole time. Baxter our cat and best friend to LB was pacing, trying to understand what the heck was going on. When LB just kept on howling, Baxter jumped on his back and scared LB to death. No blood was shed, but it was amazing. I could not console poor LB. His world had fallen apart. Not only did Mattie leave with Arney...the cat had no tolerance for his howling and jumped in the middle of his back. Mattie came home with her nails done, Baxter stayed outside most of the afternoon and all is well.

The Tea Party

The pictures aren't very good. It is finished, and I hope everyone had a special time, the best part for me was working with Dear friends, hearing the laughter, the thoughtful helping hands. The love of a church family that I have known sense 1982. Hearing the kitchen helpers as they were making a lovely dinner for all the special Mothers~Daughters, Grandmothers, Aunts and old friends. The spirit of the ladies that did this 79 years ago was surely with us. This yearly dinner started in 1930, in a time of hardship for many. It must have been a Joy filled evening. Nampa First Christian Church was dedicated in 1906. There are many Generations here. I am but a speck on the history of this church. I am Blessed!

Helping Garandpa

Because Arney is in allot of pain, the Doctor has moved his surgery up to May 6th. So he is home now until he is well again. Yesterday was a very good day, CJ who is 15 and Treyton 13 along with their father Cory came over to do badly needed yard work. Grandpa was so proud of these Grandson's, Treyton really took to the riding lawn mower. All our children have said they would help. It was a good day. We had a good lunch and watched a movie after with the Boy's. CJ is our oldest Grandson and a really good edger!

Cory is the boys father and can mow really fast.

napkin Flowers

I have made 70 of these napkin flowers for the Tea Party....I thought they would be fun to work with in the decorating of the Hall. I learn how to do these when I was about 9 years old while a cousin was getting married. We decorated the car in white flowers, I never forgot how to make them. And since we have more napkins than we need, this seemed like a fun thing to do. I used yarn with sparkling silver running through it...click on picture to see the details.

The Chair

My husband Arney is having surgery June 1st on his knee. He has had the knee about 10 years. He has a cyst on the bone, so they will go in and repair and put new bone in. He will be off work up to 12 weeks. He is unhappy that this must be done this time of year. But he is in so much pain. I have never owned a recliner, never wanted one. But I thought it would be good for Arney during this time of healing. I ask him if he wanted one and he said no that he didn't want to spend the money on a new chair. Remember the word "NEW." So I went on craiglist and did a search, most of them looked awful, I thought it was a lost cause when I found a picture of this chair. And the seller lived about 2 miles from me....I sent the owner a note asking about the chair and to see if she still had it....Bingo! So I went to look at it and bought it for 50 dollars. It is soft comfortable leather...You can tell he has been sitting in it. I got it Sunday while he was at work. My son Trevor picked it up for me just before Arney got home. He has taken ownership and has had two naps in it. I love the color of the leather, it is well made, and leather seems to look and feel better with a little age. I thought it was a really good buy...she wanted 60 but I got it for the 50 dollars...TEE HEE!

Little felt Bears

Just when you think you are done, then you get another idea. These are out of pink felt, so easy to sew. Today was a meeting to see if we were all on the same page, and this afternoon I helped my Co Person with her addition to the evening. I would love to say I am done, but I have 7 days till the Tea party, anything is possible. I made little Boa's for the felt Bears, something a little different. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
