Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could laugh your way to being thin. I found this and believe me I did get a big smile. I have been getting things ready for a Journal that would somehow share this time. The really good days and the hard days, and the disappointing days. I think the expectations can be the worst part...if I do this, that and just everything I should that the pounds will come off. The body is a mystery for sure....and we ask so much of it. If I deprive it then it should do what I want it to do. Just a few days of eating wrong and I would be back to square one in a matter of a couple of days. Click on picture to read... It is sunny today but to cold go out and really enjoy it. So the dogs and I are in and out... Trying to figure out how to do this Journal....Yikes!!!!!
Mary, so proud of you, hang in there 10 pounds off, that is great. I'm not to sure about "marmola" however the bible does say, " a merry heart doeth good like a medicine".... laughter has to be a good thing, even if it won't help us loose weight.
I'm on a weight loss journey myself this year. Last year I dropped 35 pounds. This year I'm after the last 35 and they'd better run because they are toast!
I think one of my best buddies when I am losing weight is BUSY! Make a list and keep busy. You can't eat when your hands are busy and when your mind is thinking of the task at hand and not what is in the pantry☺
Mary, we can buddy-up and support each other! How did we get this way? Yes, sometimes we can play that pity party but the past is the past and we can't change it. What I try to focus on is how I would feel if it was the end of this year and I was still treading water and not going anywhere. I WANT TO BE DONE and I know you do, too. Just a few years ago I weighed 118 pounds. What happened? I work injury, followed by a forced retirement, followed by the death of my father, followed by my best friend moving away and the list goes on and on. I would look at a bowl of ice cream and tell myself that I had 'been through the mill' and that I deserved to eat it and the next one, too.
So, Mary, I'm here for you. Have you ever looked at the site: SparkPeople.com? It is totally FREE and is filled with calorie counters, ways to make friends who are in the same boat as you, get recipes and track your progress. I think you'd like it.
