This is a brown and pink baby quilt.I am making it for my granddaughter Kayla’s baby girl due in May. One side of the quilt will be the flowers you see and the other side will be squares. Kayla and husband Dolan live in Washington State.

I will share my progress as it comes to life as a quilt. The little buttons you see are little Yo Yo’s that will go into the center of some of the flowers.

I am off to lunch with the girls….I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Wear Red today for heart health!!

What a pretty color combination and a treasure for baby girl to remember how special her grandmother is. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I love the pink and brown collage of flowers and texture! Quilts are so great for babies! I think my fascination for quilts came from a very young age!

I hope you had fun at lunch. There were 3 people at work with red shirts on yesterday - I didn't know! I'm all for heart health...

Have a happy weekend.

Love the quilt and the baby will love the different textures. You are just cold? We are finally digging out. Hope your sister is able to get out also. Warmer here this weekend which is helping a lot. Take care and have fun with the quilt.

First time here...but it won't be my last. This is a charming little(or big) girl quilt. Did you put an interfacing or anything under the flowers before stitching them? Looking forward to seeing the progress on this project.

Mary-
The quilt that you are making for Kayla's little girl is beautiful! I know she is all grown up, but it is still hard to believe that she is this grown up, with a family of her own.
I still remember that precocious little toddler with that devilish little smile that could get anything out of Daddy or Grandpa- she had them all wrapped around that adorable little finger of hers.
I know she is going to make a wonderful Mom- she has been very lucky to have been surrounded by so many wonderful role models- you, Terri and Jenny.
I can't wait to see the finished quilt- I know it is going to be perfect- I still cherish the quilt that you made for me.
Love and Miss You-
Sara
