Cascade Christian Camp, Idaho

I know we are a long way to Easter, but there is always the cross.

This is where each summer I came to teach and play with many wonderful teens.

The cross is over looking Cascade lake where I have been sailing with friends, drove a snowmobile on it when the lake was frozen. And here under the cross we had big late night fires while we sang and told so many stories. So many wonderful moments with friends and family.

This is a place for me to go when life gets to hard, nature has away of clearing the mind if you are still and listen. And the cross reminds me that I am not alone.

Sweet memories.
My childhood summer camp memories were under redwood trees (where we had our spiritual gatherings)
and I have planted three redwood trees in my back yard where I now live (they are tall as those at the camp) and you helped me link those memories!

It's a beautiful lake. Memories take me back to mushroom hunting in the nearby woods. Have you tasted the delights of wild mushrooms, especially the Morel.
